OUTDOOR DETECTOR RANGES
WX Shield Series
Flexible panoramic detection for harsh environments
The WXS series is OPTEX's latest 180° outdoor intrusion detection sensors with flexible range detection and settings, as well as a selectable low (0.8 - 1.2m) or high mount (2m) option, self-learning IR and intelligent anti-masking. Ideal as approach or flat roof protection for residential and commercial premises, the sensor is equipped with the Shield advanced features including double conductive shielding to avoid false alarms triggered by bright sunlight or RFI, and automatic walk test.
The WXS sensors feature two completely independent 90 degrees detection areas (left and right) triggering independent alarm outputs, which can be utilised in PTZ activation for example. Additionally detection sensitivity can be individually set to High, Medium and Low for the left and right detection areas. All WXS models are also equipped with Self-learning IR digital and anti-masking function which enables stable and reliable detection.
Enhanced reliability with combined PIR and microwave technology
Panoramic triple layer detection and greater reliability against nuisance alarms, particularly the ones generated by light disturbance. Only WXS-DAM and WXS-RDAM models.
The WXS series can be installed between 0.8 and 1.2m (2'7'' and 4') high or as high mount sensor at 2.0m (6’7”) high, which can be effective in avoiding vandalism or masking of lens. Installation has been made easy with all accessible parts coloured in blue and a screw free design that contributes to reduction of installation time. The series includes a night mode, selectable if alarm outputs are required only when ambient light levels are low and can be used for example for lighting control.
A sense of security, designed for you
Shield advance features combine convenience and security. Tamper outputs will be generated if the front cover is open or the unit is removed from the wall. And a wide LED window with wide and bright LED for recognition from distance.
- up to 12m, 180 degree outdoor PIR with anti-masking
- 4 PIR providing left/ right double layered detection for pet tolerance
- Selectable low (0.8m-1.2m) or high (2m) mount
- Independent left/ right detection areas and alarm outputs - ideal for CCTV
WX Infinity Series
The WXI Series is a family of external sensors built upon our years of proven experience. The series utilises both analog and digital technologies to detect approaching intruders before they gain access into your protected area. With its comprehensive 180 degree field of view and its capabilities to tailor its settings to meet the environment around your premise, the WXI will provide an effective solution for new and existing security systems.
Part of the WXI series, a range of 12m 180 degree outdoor volumetric PIRs, the WXI-ST is the wired model. With its comprehensive 180° field of view and capabilities to adapt its settings to the environment around your premises, the WXI series will provide an effective intrusion detection sensor for new and existing security systems. The left and right alarm detection areas can be set independently at 2.5m, 3.5m, 6m, 8.5m and 12m.
- 12m 180 degree PIR for external intrusion detection
- SMDA logic: digital analysis for enhanced environmental variance adaptation
- Two independent detection areas left and right - ideal for CCTV camera presets
- Selectable pulse count
QX Infinity Series
High mount outdoor intrusion detection
The QX Infinity (QXI) series is a range of outdoor intrusion detection sensors – PIR and dual-technology - providing 120° wide and 12m (40ft) detection area, for residential and commercial applications. Sleek and compact, QXI Series can be mounted up to 2.7m and can trigger both alarm panel or CCTV systems.
The QXI is an all-round high-mount sensor that complements OPTEX’s existing short range outdoor PIR range providing wide angle 120 degree and 12 m of detection area. The sensors can be installed at a height of between 2.2 m and 2.7 m, fitting discretely on any residential or commercial building and creating a multi-level volumetric detection pattern that provides reliable motion detection to trigger alarm panel or CCTV cameras.
The QXI sensors are equipped with new Quad technology featuring a pyro element that has been redefined by OPTEX and supports a greater detection performance. For even more reliable sensing capabilities and greater tolerance against light and RFI, QXI series features improved Super Multi-Dimensional Analysis (SMDA) logic and Double Conductive Shielding.
Selectable mounting height
The QXI outdoor intrusion sensors can be installed at a high mount between 2.2 and 2.7m creating a multi-level volumetric detection pattern, allowing it to ignore small animals. In environments with larger animals, the sensor can be mounted between 0.8 and 1.2m height, to provide a pet alley.
Detection analysis to filter out false alarms
The QXI outdoor intruder sensors are designed to be not affected by environment or small animals. The alarm will not be triggered by changes of weather, vegetation sways or pets in the detection area, contributing to reliable outdoor detection. Additionally the series features double conductive shielding which filters out visible light and RFI disturbance.
Sleek design & easy installation
The dimensions of the sensor and finish of the shielding have been designed to make the sensor easy to blend in any residential or small commercial building. Also with the customer in mind the sensor features a screwless design making the opening and closing of the front cover very easy.
- 12m, 120 degree outdoor PIR
- QUAD pyro elements providing double layered detection and pet tolerance
- High (2.2-2.7m) mount or low mount (0.8m-1.2m) for pet alley mode
- SMDA logic and double conductive shielding to minimise nuisance alarms
